Then hand abrade corroded areas ready for recoating.
This project included a full colour change of the entire hull
WW1 Landing Craft
Excel were trusted to help restore this World War 1 Landing Craft.
The entire vessel required a full UHP blast to take it back to bare metal, tricky areas were abrasive blasted to ensure no parts of the craft were missed.
The paint scheme which was supplied by Jotun Paints was applied by both roller and spray to ensure a perfect finish
Working alongside MLUK who carried out repairs we were able to bring the historic landing craft back to it’s former glory.
Red Funnel - Red Osprey
Excel Preparation & Coating Specialists were tasked to Ultra High Pressure water blast 300 square metres on the main deck before applying a paint scheme.
Other work carried out included detergent washing the deck heads for which our IPAF qualified operatives used cherry pickers to reach.
